SmartTask is the app we use to schedule and confirm all shifts. It is a state of the art system that allows us to schedule rotas weeks in advance, and more importantly for you to be able to confirm that you can do them. Once you have confirmed we get a notification that the shift is covered and you are then committed to it.
Download the Updated App
First off you need to download the SmartTask app. If you already have it please update the app, so you now have the Orange Advanced Version. Your login details remain the same.
Installing Logging In
Once installed you will need to login to the app. You should only have to do this once. You will see a screen that looks like this:
Your intitals (uppercase), then the last two digits of the year of your birth
eg: John Doe born in 1973 would be “JD73”
Shifts that are generated are sent out using the SmartTask app. You will need to keep logged in. Then keep checking your app regularly to download any updates to your roster.
Viewing Your Roster
Open your SmartTask app and click on to My Roster as indicated below.
(C) shows Confirmed Shifts
(S) shows Scheduled Shifts
To select each shift you can do, press the circle
To confirm you can do the selected shifts, press the tick
Once you have Confirmed Shifts shows as confirmed on the SmartTask schedule at ESP Head Office.
It will then move into you Scheduled Shifts.
If you then click on the the venue details it will bring up a map that tells you where you are going.
You are then contractually obliged to carry out that shift.
What to do if you can't do a Confirmed Shift.
You are then contractually obliged to carry out any Confirmed Shifts
If you are unable to carry that shift out then you must notify ESP Head Office as is practically possible.
